The 2012 SCP Winter Conference takes place February 16-18, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
To register for the conference please go to http://www.myscp.org/conference.aspx and click on the "Register for Conference" tab.
The theme for this year's conference is "Conversations." The conference program will include not only Symposia, Individual Papers, Working Papers, but also a new type of session called "Conversations" that we hope will compete (successfully) against the usual distractions of Vegas. These eight "Conversations" sessions are centered on topics of current interest to consumer behavior researchers, namely, Goals and Motivation, Feelings, Sensations, Automaticity, Social Influences, Time and Money, Helping Consumers, and Reviewing. Each Conversation will feature a panel of three or four leading researchers in a given field, who will each make a short presentation about what they think are the interesting questions in this area. After all panelists have had their say, the floor will be thrown open -- panelists can ask questions to each other and the audience can ask questions to the panelists -- leading to what we hope will be a stimulating and thought provoking Conversation. Please see the Accommodations page for details about the Conference accommodation, the Four Seasons Hotel.
